In 1928, the trademark for 黄鹤楼 (Huanghelou) cigarettes was officially registered and began sales across various regions. In 1937, production was halted due to the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War. In 1983, production of 黄鹤楼 (Huanghelou) cigarettes resumed. By 1996, the brand was reintroduced with a fresh lineup, establishing itself as a premium cigarette brand prioritized for development by the Wuyuan Group.
