The “黄山” (Huangshan) cigarette was developed by the Bengbu Cigarette Factory of Anhui Tobacco Industry Company in 1958. In 1993, the “Special Huangshan” was successfully launched, achieving tremendous success in the market. It broke the monopoly of high-end cigarettes from Shanghai and Yunnan, changing the landscape entirely.
