Aside from finding the Phenix brand is produced by Shanghai Cigarette Factory, I was unable to find any more information on them. These may be the most interesting tasting menthols I’ve had just because the floral wood taste of high quality Chinese cigarettes really comes through. This is all possible because the menthol seems more of an afterthought than an upfront confrontation, which I think is really nice. It’s interesting cause you still get that classic Chinese cigarette fragrant taste, but now there’s an added freshness it leaves in your mouth. I think there are three pop capsule flavors in the surprise mix format. The pop capsule tastes similar to a the sparking blackberry Izze soda flavor. Maybe I was just in my head about it but I honestly couldn’t taste a difference between them and after trying it a few times I decided to stop popping them cause I dislike flavored cigarettes.
