In 1905, the patriotic overseas Chinese brothers Jian Zhaonan and Jian Yujie established the Nanyang Brothers Tobacco Company, launching the "双喜" (Shuangxi) brand of cigarettes in 1906. In 1949, the "Nanyang Brothers Tobacco Co., Ltd. Guangzhou Manufacturing Plant" was founded, which is the predecessor of the Guangzhou Cigarette Factory No. 2. From then on, the important lineage of "双喜" (Shuangxi) began to take root and develop in Guangzhou. Throughout the brand's evolution, Guangdong "双喜" gradually formed a distinct regional style characterized by its "high fragrance" and the cultural essence of "happiness" that resonates closely with everyday life and the common people, earning it great affection from consumers in South China.
