In 1971, the "古田" (Gutian) brand of cigarettes was born at the Longyan Cigarette Factory, featuring the site of the revolutionary holy place, the "Gutian Conference," as its main design element, and using the finest roasted tobacco from western Fujian as its primary ingredient. In 1991, the Longyan Cigarette Factory revamped the "古田" cigarettes, again highlighting the Gutian Conference site as the main graphic on the packaging. In 1994, "古田" cigarettes won the gold medal at the 5th Asia-Pacific International Trade Fair. In 2004, Fujian Zhongyan implemented a cigarette brand consolidation strategy, renaming "古田" to "七匹狼（古田）" (Qipilang (Gutian)), making it a member of the national key brand family "七匹狼" (Qipilang). In 2015, Fujian Zhongyan restored the Gutian brand.
