In 1993, the Baoji Cigarette Factory in Shaanxi launched 好猫 (Hao Mao) cigarettes to fill the market gap for high-end cigarettes in the Shaanxi region. "好猫" quickly became a symbol of premium cigarettes in Shaanxi, even monopolizing the market share for high-end cigarettes at one point. In 1997, 好猫 was recognized by the China Consumers Association as a "Trusted Product," and in 1998 and 1999, it was awarded the title of "Shaanxi Famous Brand Product." In January 2000, it was designated as one of the "Top Five Famous Cigarette Brands in Shaanxi Province."

1993年，陕西宝鸡卷烟厂针对陕西市场无高档香烟的市场空缺，推出好猫香烟，“好猫”一时成为陕西高档香烟的代表，曾经一度垄断了陕西高档香烟的市场份额。好猫牌香烟1997年被中国消费者协会评为“信得过产品”，98、99年荣获“陕西名牌产品”称号；2000年1月被评定为“陕西省五大名牌卷烟牌号”。
