The 红梅 (Hongmei) cigarette has been in production since 1972, enduring the hardships of its early growth in the 1970s, the brilliant rapid development of the 1980s, and the magnificent expansion of the 1990s. In 2000, it achieved a production and sales milestone of 1.005 million cartons, becoming the only brand in the domestic tobacco industry to exceed one million cartons in annual sales during the 20th century. "红梅" is one of the main brands of the Hongta Group and is also among the top-selling single brands nationwide.
红梅卷烟从1972年开始生产，经历过20世纪70年代成长初期的艰难，80年代迅速发展时期的灿烂，90年代壮大发展时期的辉煌。2000年实现产销100.5万箱，成为20世纪国内烟草行业唯一年产销量超过100万箱的品牌。 “红梅”是红塔集团的主销品牌之一，也是全国单一品牌销量最高的产品之一。
